SAGA IS HIRING

SAGA IS HIRING

In March 2022, Ariana Grande launched this huge fundraiser for 18 TGNC orgs across the US. This support will allow us to grow our team in 2023.

Words cannot describe how much this means to us. As a TGNC organization founded in 1998, finding stable support has been an uphill battle. We are so excited about this uplifted platform for the 18+ TGNC organizations and us being consistently uplifted this past week. Sending big love to y'all as well!!!

To donate you may text PLEDGE to 707070 or use pledge.to/protect-defend-trans-youth-fund.

The Protect & Defend trans youth fund; Ariana Grande x Pledge. This fund was created to support organizations providing direct services and advocating for the rights of trans youth; swipe to learn more about the fund and how to support. Right now, there are hundreds of bills pending in state legislatures across the United States that target trans youth and aim to curb their rights.; the impact of fighting these anti-trans bills and policies is felt all year by trans people, their families, and loved ones. Please join me in donating to this fundraiser, which will provide critical funds to organizations advocating for the rights of trans youth in states currently targeted by anti-trans policies.; all funds will be split evenly between benefiting organizations. you can see a full list of orgs. I will be matching all funds raised up to $1,500,000.

- love always,
ariana

Ethical Framework

In our working relationships, SAGA team members prioritize the following:

Communal Care: We pay equitably with reparations for Black and Indigenous folks in mind. Response to historical poverty. Equity is the understanding that everyone needs different types of support. Reparations are making amends for a wrong done by paying money to or otherwise supporting those who have been wronged.

Strategic Partnerships

  • We ask ourselves if the presented partnerships will truly support and uplift our TGNC community.

  • Maintaining “work/life balance.”

  • We practice trust-building through check-ins at the beginning of every meeting.

Sustainability Commitments

  • Support systems that prevent burnout and offer a fulfilling work environment.

  • Grounded in liberation practices + sustainability commitments.

  • Rest practices and hiatus time in our annual planning, including retreat space and paid vacation time.

  • Support staff to have clear personal and professional goals.

  • Clarity about job descriptions and seek trans-led and community-based Professional Development opportunities.
