TrOutings ☀︎

To keep up to date about our next TrOutings, follow us on Instagram or Facebook or check our calendar on our Home page.

SAGA’s TrOutings (Trans-Outings) are community building events that grow trans and gender expansive (TGE) folks’ connection to nature, each other, and the organizing work in our local area and beyond. TrOutings can range from BIPOC Yoga with Jijivisha Holistic (Meela Hill), to TGE youth splash pad and picnics, to Trans Closet Workshops with What Sam Made (Sam Bloom), to protesting in the streets with Familia TQLM, Mariposas Sin Fronteras, St. Mark’s, and Food Not Bombs Tucson.

SAGA’s TrOutings also include our major events, such as our Trans Day of Visibility (TDOV) Festival and Trans Day of Remembrance/Rest/Resilience (TDOR) Festival.

Trans Care Packages

SAGA’s Trans Care Package (TCP) programming started in May 2020, in which we mailed physical TCPs to our trans and gender expansive (TGE) community. The contents provided center majority TGE BIPOC voices through art, readings, medicine, and Trans Hero Coloring Pages. We understand the TGE experience as an art form: a cultivation of oneself and developing a system of care. Therefore, SAGA empowers TGE folks through art as healing justice and systems change work. With resources and care, we can look to TGE BIPOC artists as visionaries of a future that holds us all of us.

We also extended our TCP programming by launching our first TCP Publication November, 2022.

We are continuing to expand our TCP programming through:

  • TCP podcast that archives TGE BIPOC elders’ stories

  • TCP Spa Day Focus Groups to support communal healing, deeper relationship building and understanding community needs
